My wife and I escape for one final weekend of summer before school starts. Our yearly tradition usually finds us at the Hyatt Resort in Incline Village, and that means dinner at Austin's. The casual vibe and good food keep us coming back. I've had the chicken fried chicken, the salmon, and this year had the Chicken Fried Bacon Burger. Yum! My wife had the ahi tuna salad which she said was just fair. She'll have to try something different next year, but I have a feeling we'll be back.
First of all, the food was great. However, our experience from the staff/service from start to end was AWFUL. The hostess crossed our name off the list without us being seated. Our table was ready and we waited another 15 min to be seated while one of the waitresses cleared other tables. Our waitress brought out our beer, sodas, but not waters while all the other tables had carafes of water. We ordered an appetizer and it came for dessert. Other places would have comped that. It took approximately 40 + min after ordering until we good our food way too long. Food was just ok prices on the high side.
RecommendedAwesome atmosphere, awesome food, awesome vibe. Our favorite place in Lake Tahoe.
Outstanding service and great food! Friendly warning, it's a pretty small location, so if you have a larger party you might have to wait - it's worth it!
First time here-GREAT food and wonderful service! Will definitely plan to return.....
Corn bread is good and there is a bar next door to end the night.
