I was in the partial hospitalization program (PHP) at this location. The staff at Branches downtown are the best: Angelina (admissions) and Brent (RN) are really great and accommodating. My therapists Tarai (Process group + psychoeducation) and Sarah (Expressive therapy) are really amazing at what they do. I think one of the greatest strengths of this program is how they accomodate the topics discussed based on the groups collective needs rather than sticking to a general "one size fits all" schedule of topics. The mental health providers are wonderful, they provided excellent care for my daughter. The only downside to Austin Oaks (inpatient and outpatient) is that billing staff was harassing my daughter for partial payment and told us they could not provide an itemized statement of the treatment she had gotten. We were using insurance. Someone should tell this facility that they are violating the Texas Health and Safety code (Title 2, Subtitle J, Chapter 185) and that it's inappropriate to treat patients this way during a time of ... read more
Austin Oaks has so many great therapists and staff members. I have learned so much through different group therapy strategies. I’m looking forward to learning more about where I can grow as a person. 😊 The staff members, Angelina, Brent, Tarai, and Vikki are all so uniquely amazing members of the team!
I think it’s wonderful program tarai creates a wonderful environment. Also Angelina is so helpful.
