Great rates. You can't beat the rates from AFM. Generally phone communication is not great but this time (4th time financing with them) it was better. Email is the best way to go back and forth. Overall would work with them again for sure.
Very please with the AFM. The loan process was on tight scheduled because I applied with AFM one week after signed the purchase contract. I was save about 2700.00 with AFM on the closing cost from lender credit compared to the other company I looked at. The closing was completed 3 weeks! Nancy and the loan officer assigned to my loan were very helpful to have my necessary paperwork done. Be prepared to have all documents needed for the process. Austin First Mortgage worked seamlessly with me for my first mortgage. The seller demanded we should close within one month, which was a really tight schedule. We communicated using the phone, the email without any hiccup. My case was a bit complicated so the lender at one point suspended my application. Fairly pleasant experience overall working with this company. We closed on time with no issues. It was our first time buying a house and virtually all the processes were new to us. COMPLETELY WASTE OF TIME AND STAY AWAY FROM THEM if you are 1st time home buyer. Loan officer Nancy Sun never answer the phone but her assistance. You have to keep calling them and ask for the process. No one would explain the process in the detail unless you ask. They transfer me to its DBA company/James Wu without asking me and it became a NIGHTMARE.
