I was charged $317.00 by Aurora Pro Services to snake a tub drain. I was told the estimate for the job was $317.00 in case the plumber broke a pipe while snaking the drain. This is something that should be covered by insurance, but I agreed to the estimate as we have an elderly parent who lives with us, and we needed an immediate solution. It took about $15 minutes to snake the drain. The clog was minor. There were no other problems. This company was referred to me by Duke Energy . To say that the experience was stressful and over the top is an understatement. Not only did the assessment of the scope of the work to be done change several time and costs quoted were more than twice that quoted from 2 other companies. The man, who appeared to be the one in charge, was rude, very aggressive, and tried to use scare tactics to get me to sign an agreement to have the repairs done. Needed to relocate an outlet in my kitchen to get a new dishwasher installed. Booked an appointment. They called the night before the scheduled appointment to say they had an emergency and would not be able to come out. Had to cancel my plumber who was waiting to get the power supply moved. I suspect they had a bigger job they wanted to take care of instead of keeping their commitment to me.

They come quick to your house! Start to work, problem found but cost more than you can afford! IT was 87 degrees in my house, on a fixed income ! they told me that if I DIDN'T get the wires fixed my house could burn down.
