Augustine Smelly Grill – We dined at this establishment and found the staff to be as distasteful as the food. It is a small hole in the wall which claims to be charming. The wait was too long. Food not so good and over-priced. Not to mention the smell in the bathroom which happens to be crammed right next to the kitchen. Maybe invest in proper plumbing. Nice but not so nice try on the charm!

Excellent food & service. Best Lamb & Ahi Tuna! – Wonderful, quaint restaurant with a European feel. The food is always so tasty and the quality is excellent. Not a place for ill-mannered children though, the seating is intimate. We witnessed children tromping through the beautiful gardens next to our table and picking flowers. We love this place. Have the Ahi Tuna or Lamb!

A great place , most romantic in Castle Rock with excellent cuisine! – We live in the immediate area and go there on a fairly regular basis and except for one time when it was very crowded the service was slow, the food is always incredibly good and the desserts are the same. Also, I agree with another reveiwer ,don't bring young children (especially ill mannered ones ) to a restaurant of this caliber,it's just not done.

Charming with great food A great find for us. Very cozy & warm with a family atmosphere. Very good friendly service. The food was fabulous. The best lamb I've had. My wife had the Beef Tenderloin with Shrimp Scampi and was very impressed. Must have the bread pudding for dessert with their homemade caramel sauce. Wow! We're regulars after our experience. Prices were very reasonable. The holiday decorations were also beautiful.

Wonderful Food and Ambience – My husband and I were returning form a funeral in Cheyenne, WY and he decided to treat me to dinner at the Augustine Grill. This was my first time there and I loved it. I had the rac* of lamb(for some reason this site finds the correct spelling of this word offensive) and he had the special which was crab stuffed salmon. It was so good I even ate my vegetables which I hardly ever do! This is ADULT dinning. Personally I think no child should enter a restaurant with table clothes on the tables unl... read more

BAD SERVICE & SUB_PAR FOOD – I can?t agree with you ladies more. We too had a terrible experience with our family at Augustine?s Grill. The waiter was totally rude. Outside in there patio area it smelled like garbage. The hostess area is a tiny little 2x2 space and it takes 20-30 minutes to get seated. The food is way over priced and not very good. I think the owner thinks way too highly of his place as we complained and he said ? We are very busy we must be doing something right?. Does he not realize how limited the choices... read more

I left there completely offended and appalled. – 8/23/07 I went there for lunch with my two children, a friend and her daughter. Our table was outside, and it smelled like garbage. Our waiter was rude to us right away, and was clearly not happy to be waiting on 3 little (well behaved) children. Then I overheard him talking to the owner about how they should hang a sign on the door stating "no kids allowed". I approached the owner and asked if he had a problem with my children, he coldly said "not yet". We were so offended th... read more

Don't overlook this delicious little dining spot... – We ate at the Augustine Grill last September- it was my first time going. While their menu is somewhat limited (it can be found online) it had enough variety, offering a few pasta dishes, steak, chicken, seafood, and salad options. We ate outside in the "back yard" area as the sun was setting. The service was impeccible and there was no rush- it really feels like a place you could sit at for hours, dining and chatting. The food was excellent, the dessert was to die for. W... read more

a true delight! – we have dined at the augustine grill before, but had'nt been in the new addition. it is absolutely beautiful...very cozy w/a fireplace, lots of windows and much more roomy than the original rooms. i had the sesame tuna and my husband had the rack of lamb. it couldn't have been more delicious. we had a new waiter, but the service was great and it was obvious he was trying hard. he suggested the creme brulee and i have to say, being a dessert fanatic it was the best i think i have ever had. my wife and i will... read more
