Augustine Smelly Grill We went to this small hole in the wall restaurant that cleary thinks more highly of themselves then the patrons. We were treated poorly and rude by the waitstaff. For those of you whom have ever had a pleasant dining experience don't let these reviews of it being good fool you. The smell in the bathroom is horrible as is the food. Try Sienna much better. Finally some class in Castle Rock!
Good to families We have been many times to the grill with my 2 year old son and have never had any problems with it! good food, good service. It is more of a couples place but it is good for families too!
Charming with great food A great find for us. Very cozy & warm with a family atmosphere. Very good friendly service. The food was fabulous. The best lamb I've had. My wife had the Beef Tenderloin with Shrimp Scampi and was very impressed. Must have the bread pudding for dessert with their homemade caramel sauce. Wow! We're regulars after our experience. Prices were very reasonable. The holiday decorations were also beautiful.
BAD FOOD & OVERPRICED, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Staff was slow, unknowledgeable, and down right rude. Management absolutely did not care! The entre was served as overcooked as it was overpriced!! I am unable to recall the last time I had seafood so difficult to even chew and swallow!! The overall experience was so unpleasant, I simply could not recommend this restaurant, and absolutely will never return. BE ADVISED, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
Great place to host a reception! This was the greatest find for our wedding reception! From the initial meeting, to the actual event and final check, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful evening. Anyone looking for a cozy and warm European atmosphere with delicious food should definitely make a trip to this restaurant! And if the weather allows, dine on the patio. You can see the work and time that has been put into this place by the owners. Fantastic!
DISCRIMINATES AGAINST FAMILIES I had a very unfortunate experience at Augustine's Grill in Castle Rock. I was there with my 2 small children and with a friend with her daughter. We asked to sit outside and were treated very poorly by the waiter. I actually overheard him talking about my children when he went into the kitchen. He and the owner were talking about how they should have a sign on the door stating "no kids allowed". Overpriced bland food and terrible service After seeing a picture of the restaurant in a local review book, my wife and I decided to give Augustine Grill a try. The experience from beginning to end couldn't have been more of a disappointment. The wine list is a bizarre combination of extremely overpriced bottles considering the quality of what is offered. Our Favorite! We have been to Augustine Grill many times, dinner for the two of us, or for a special event. The place may be old, but it is historic, part of the charm. It is beautifully decorated, and in the winter has such a cozy feel with the fireplace. We love the back patio in the summer, and find the inside romantic. We always have a hard time deciding what to order because we enjoy so many things on their menu! 1st choice! We dine at Augustine Grill regularly and have for many years, it is always my first choice when asked what my favorite restaurant is. My customers that travel the world agree that Augustine is one of the finest establishments in the area.
