His past gives him a perspective that other attorneys cannot replicate. Don't dismiss his utility and experience, he might seem gruff (just pay attention to what he says and don't conflate a friend's opinion with Art's professional experience) but he gets the job done right.
Art got a citation dropped for me. He did his job. But as a HUMAN he lacks compassion, listening, and understanding. He is a WASTE of time and money. Please consider looking up his past before attempting to hire him for anything. His ego will ruin him in the end. NOT RECOMMENDED.
