Can I revise the star to 0 -- because that is the rating i would give Atria Stamford wait till you need to leave because they tell you they cannot care for your LO and then they try to charge you for the rent. Then they get all like "please please please tell us what happened" -- and then no one replies I have sent several letters and I am still being billed more than $7800. but no one has called me back-- no one wants to hear how mom was treated and what her personal situation was. no, no just looking for money nothing more... read more

Today I spent ninety minutes with residents who are celebrating their Birthdays as they enjoy living at Atria Stamford. What a joy it is to listen to their stories and reflections on a life well lived. Still thoughtful and interesting, I learn so much from these accomplished people. It is truly a gift.
The current managers do not care that while the facility is under renovation, the elevators did not work - that's right - THERE WAS NO ELEVATOR SERVICE and most of the residents are between the ages of 85-95. Most days even when the renovation was not happening, only one elevator was in service. Residents are not able to get to and from the dining room. Atria Stamford is a wonderful place for a loved one. The staff is caring, loving,engaged and warm. Joy at the front desk knows everyone and makes you feel welcome. The activities are like no other Frank Mastrone the activities director, being on Broadway, helps build a wonderful culture and energy in the building that keeps the residents engaged. A friendly, active community, with activities going on to suit different interests. The staff is so friendly.... and having Joy welcome you at the front desk is the best!
