Pflugerville Atomic Tattoo – Went in on Monday - early afternoon, and I was the only customer there, but the 2 guys working there was more interested in watching DVDs on their computer. I was directed to the racks of drawings without any recommendations or questions as to what I was looking for. When i chose a design I liked, I was taken to a room with the tall guy with the dred-locks, so he could finish the customization of the design. He literally spent more time watching the movie on his PC than working on my drawing. Aft... read more
Great shop – I was very pleased with my artist and tattoo. Very clean, professional and friendly. My piece turned out great! I will go back for my next one!
Customer Service? – I went to Atomic for my first tattoo on the recommendation of a few friends, and thought I had a pretty good first experience. Mikey tattooed me, and she seemed pretty nice, even though she never shook my hand or introduced herself. When I returned a month later to get a second tattoo, Mikey was working again, along with another artist. My boyfriend and I were the only people in the shop, so I figured it would be another short wait. Mikey asked us to wait so she could eat a quick bite, and we obliged, sin... read more
Very clean, very talented artist – I went to the location on Guadalupe for my first tattoo. Derek did it and I have to say that it was a fun experience. You wouldn't think that getting poked with a very sharp needle could be fun but it was. He is a very talented artist who truly cares about his art and makes you feel very comfortable. The shop is very clean and sanitary and they take the utmost care to keep it that way, so if you're looking for a place where you don't have to worry about it being clean I would definitely rec... read more
too cool for school – I understand that being a tattoo "artist" is a really AWESOME job, but it is still a service. I'll be the first to admit that they can be intimidating for anyone who's not covered in em'. I have never felt more uncomfortable or treated so rudely in my life. When I walked in and up to the counter the woman couldn't have been more annoyed that she had new customers. They were not very busy, nevertheless we waited for over and hour perusing thru unimpressive portfolios. ( I should have left, it only got wo... read more
Jason Masarik Is the Bomb – Jason has done my full sleeve on my left arm and we just started on my right arm last night. We did a space scene with f-ing amazing sky-scene on the left. The right is an underwater scene. This dude rocks. Oh- he's the manager of the new shop (where World Famous used to be). After getting tats from Jason, I will never see anyone else.
Great for piercings! – I went to Atomic to get my nose pierced (very first piercing) about a year or so ago during the presidential debates. The woman who was to do my piercing was really into it and asked us very nicely to wait until the debates were over and she would also give me a reduced price. I was fine with that. I waited. When the time came to get it done she was very nice. She explained how to take care of it, when I can expect to change it out for a smaller stud, and she let me look at the mark she put on my nose ... read more
No-hassle tattoo shop offers a vast array of standard options. – In Short Walking into this north Austin parlor can be intimidating. Customers find themselves surrounded with wall upon wall of flash. Classic-style hearts, cutesy flowers and butterflies, gory Iron Maiden-esque monsters, tribal symbols and cartoon characters all decorate this shop floor-to-ceiling. Because of their quick turnaround and Burnet Road location, Atomic sees a lot of tourists and suburbanites.
Want Beautiful Skin? – I have been a die-hard Atomic fan for about 4 years now. After getting several 'scratch' tattoos over the years, I needed a LOT of help with cover ups. Craig is by far the MASTER!! I can now look at my skin and love my beautiful artwork instead of cringing with embarassment! I love the whole staff..they are all very professional and easy to talk to. I've been in many shops where the artists make you feel stupid, but these folks are NOT like that at all. If you're into piercings, you'll love Justin too.... read more
