Cold shoulder, didn't want my business?! – I read them online first, and picked out my artist. When I went there, I got the weirdest look from the guy at the desk (I think it was the pink Longhorn jersey I was wearing). I told him I had read their website and had picked out the artist I wanted. He said the artist wasn't there, but anybody else could do it. I said I really liked that artists' work. He said call around 5. So, just to be on the safe side, I called at 6 and talked to the artist. It was horrible! Talk about the c... read more
Top artists in town – It's immediately obvious to anyone who has been into an Atomic Tattoo that the last two reviews are bogus. Total fabrications. Probably by someone at another shop as a lame attempt to lure away business from Atomic. I have been tattooed and pierced at three of the locations and I can assure everybody reading this that the staff at Atomic are very friendly, very professional and very clean. I have always been made to feel welcome every time I have been to Atomic and can't imagine ever trusting my body to... read more
Horrible Place, Horrible Experience, Bad Customer Service and Dirty – I went to Atomic on Burnet Rd to get a small tattoo and a nose piercing. I walked in and waited 10 minutes until someone came out from the back room. Since I brought a small design of what I wanted for my tattoo, I showed it to the person Mike?? and he said he could do it for $60. And the piercing would cost $80. I was nervous about getting both done at the same time and agreed. While I was signing up, he asked me if I had gone to any other shops in Austin... read more
Terrible tattoo – I got a tattoo by one of the guys there. Can't remember his name, but I believe he was one of the newer guys. I was getting an open book on my wrist, covering up a little heart I had on there. The artist told me it would be difficult since it was so dark, but he could do it. At first he tells me it'll be $80. Then just before we're supposed to start he says actually, it'll be $100. I should have stopped him right there. So I get the tattoo, it looks...weird. The heart is still clearly visible. People ask me... read more
Don't use Chris at Atomic At 13686 HWY.183 north – This is about the new Atomic on research that used to be Tattoo Zoo. DO NOT USE CHRIS!!! He only works there on mondays. I brought my own art in and he made one side very lopsided (No matter which way you move your arm) He also went very deep to the point of almost scarring on part of the design. and one of my small e's is filled in. He also had to stop and smoke a cigarette like my time is not important!! Thats All!
Jay is Awesome! – So, I am not a pierced person by any stretch of the imagination, but decided to get a discreet piercing. . . I was pretty nervous, even though I had researched for a few months prior to going. When I went in to look at the location, I decided right away that I felt comfortable there. I met with Jay. She was awesome. Answered all of my questions that I asked. . . twice. And after the piercing, she turned on a fan and gave me water to cool me down. She was super nice and attentive and a week later the piercin... read more
terrible service – I visited Atomic Tattoo almost 3 weeks ago to discuss buying jewelry and having a piercing Gauged up. I have 7 tattoos and 1 piercing from shops where I went to college in Savannah, GA, So i'm familiar with how shops work and what constitutes good service. I was referred to the shop owner, who discussed the piercing with me and said he'd have to order my jewelry. Okay, cool. A week later I still haven't heard from him, so i call, and I'm told he's out of town. A week later I call, and get him on the phone ... read more
Best Artist in Texas!!!! – I have been trying to create a tattoo for over three years and have been to many shops and spoke to many artists. I have even paid some of the artist for their time and drawings. Many of the artists that I spoke to and worked with only wanted to draw their vision and what they thought my idea should look like. This was not my first tattoo so I would not and could not be persuaded to do it their way. It was only when I met Mike Pain that my vision of my tattoo came to life. Mike took the time to sit... read more
Best Tattoo in Texas – Mike Pain, Mike Pain, Mike Pain...............There is not enough I can say for this man.... I have had Mike do 5 tattoos and NO ONE will ever tattoo me other than him. Yup, PHXSON is the name, I live in Phoenix, AKA, $400.00 flight to get Atomic Tattoo (including the $15.00 per bag fee) I will gladly fly for a weekend tattoo when Mike is involved. The largest of my tattoos was a full back piece, that I NEVER intended to get. He was brutally honest in telling me I would not like the results of my initi... read more
