I made a new patient appointment 6+ weeks ago to see Dr. Jacobson, it was the soonest they could see me. On the 16th at 9:19am I got a text reminding me of my appointment and telling me there will be cancellation fees if I miss. Then at 9:48am that same day I got a phone call stating my appointment has been canceled and to call back to reschedule. I want to give a personal shout-out to Atlantic Psychiatric in Melbourne and Suntree. Dr. Jacobson is an amazing psychiatrist. He listens intently and also has an expertise in biochemistry, which should help patients who may or may not need medication. Dr Tydings is a younger psychotherapist. One may not expect her to understand life situations that the older generation may have, but she gets it! I would highly recommend both of these therapists if you are looking for QUALITY. Very poorly run, with some of the worst communication I have ever seen. It takes multiple phone calls to handle anything, scripts were written wrong more than once. The final straw was them forcing everyone back to in person only appointments, but telling me more than once that they had me down for a phone appointment, then blaming me for the confusion when they inevitably changed it back without saying anything. Go literally anywhere else if you can.

I have been seeing Dr. Jacobson for 15 years! I can’t believe it has been that long. He took on my case when I was desperate and another provider I felt failed me. It was not just Dr. J but his staff who relayed my desperation at the time to him to get the help I needed. He helped me accomplish my dreams to be in the mental health field myself. 7 Years of college, internship, and licensure. I continue to take care of my mental health as I am practicing what I preach.
