Athena Jewelers ROCKS!!! I love this store, they feature unique jewelry that is handcrafted by artists from all over the United States. They also have really amazing artists on site to help you design your own gems. This store is definitely worth stopping by, it is a treasure every time!!!!! Take a picture with the giant frog statue while you're at it!

Horrible Customer Service I am a graduate of UGA and always enjoyed strolling through this store as a student. However, I am sad to say that the service I received in Athena recently will cause me to never return. The salesperson quoted me a price for a ring. Once the ring was completed, they tried to charge me a different price. Over the phone, I implored with management to honor the original price I'd been quoted and they did. Ok if you have time to kill, otherwise, skip it I went in this store the other day and they had a fairly small selection. Most of the jewelry is artsy and hip but they seemed to lack in the fine jewelry department. I looked at the beads they have in the back of the store but they were a little high priced. Overall, I would skip it when you could be spending your time in other stores that carry jewelry downtown, like Helix (so cool!) or Aurum (more fine jewelry).

One of the Friendliest stores in downtown Athena's is a landmark of historical Athens, a store that supports local and global artisans for years! Their staff is welcoming and very helpful. I would recommend this store to anyone who desires the unique and not mass produced in jewelry.
