WHAT A NIGHTMARE! – I am writing this in order to make people aware of how shady At the Beach really is. Not only are the contracts rediculously long but they are unexplaned by untrained employees and misleading. Trying to get out of this contract has been a nightmare! I don't want to go into what I had to indure thus far, hopefully people will read this and understand what unfair business practices these people are running. Never sign a contract without reading it fully for yourself and ask questions!!!

AT THE BEACH TANNING SUPERSTORE – I was looking forward to getting a nice tan for a trip to Florida in March. Signed up and bought the lotion at the Foriday & Parker Road location. Well they have not been open in them morning (after 7:30) at least five times now. Called corporate and got awful customer service from Monica. Will not even discuss canceling my contract (12 months) If they aren't open I can't use it.

Horrible customer service, unclear contracts – I signed up for a 12 month membership last January. In April, when I pulled my credit report, I found that At The Beach had listed me as having a 24 month membership. This was annoying because it took a few days (and lots of time on hold) to get this cleared up. Now, it is January 2008 and, according to my contract, my membership is onnly valid through 1/10/08. Worst Tan in Denver – First of all this place is a scam. You don't sign a membership with them you sign with their collections agency. You can't cancel your membership unless you move 50 MILES away and even then the money hungry morons running this place won't cancel it. They are very rude and I felt like I was at a used car lot. Do not sign on for their membership unless you want 34.88 taken out of your account no matter what for the next two years. STAY AWAY! – At The Beach is unprofessional, dishonest and they have no concept of what quality customer service is. My first visit there, the attendant did NOT explain that face lamps can be adjusted, put me in a higher level bed than I should have been in and I was burned - bad. I complained to corporate (which ignored my calls, e-mails, etc. for nearly one month) and requested that they cancel my 2-year contract. Awful customer service – I told the customer service rep at the Englewood location that I didn't know how many minutes I should go into the bed, since I have very light skin and it was my first time in this particular bed. He put me in a bed for double what I should have (I found out later) and I fried like a lobster. Best in Denver – I've used Bronzeworks for over 2 years and couldn't be happier. When I moved south of Denver I tried a couple salons closer to my home, but they couldn't even come close to meeting the quality of Bronzeworks.
