My wife has been taking our pets here for years but I just recently started sharing in some of the responsibility and I can see why she loves this place so much. With the loss of our past two dogs they handled everything with such care. The Drs are very knowledgeable not with the animals but with the medecines too and the staff is awesome.
I have taken all my fur babies to Ashland Vet. The doctors and staff are awesome. Your animals will love them.

I took my fur babies for their annual check up and was so happy with the care and knowledge of the staff! My two cats were not thrilled to be at the vet (I mean who would be?) but as soon as an assistant started working with my boys, they relaxed! They talked to me throughout the entire visit about what they were doing so at every single point I knew what was going on. I will most DEFINITELY be taking my pets to the Ashland Vet in the future!

We love AVH! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, they work us in when an emergency, call and check in after visits to see how our dog is doing, and are honest with their thoughts and recommendations. When we moved back to Richmond, our out of town vet's only recommendation was to be sure we found somewhere AAHA accredited. At the time, our dog was known for getting pancreatitis and spending several days in the ICU each time, so we wanted to be sure we were prepared in the event we ended up in the same situation.
