Delicious Food The food at the Ashby Inn has always been very good. The menu doesn't change, but they always have several specials. The food is prepared well. Nothing fancy in the presentation. Service is good, everyone is very friendly. There is an patio outside for al fresco dining in warm weather. The prices are on the high side.

We spent the weekend at the Ashby Inn. The food was great, the Inn was beautiful. It’s in a perfect location if you want to visit some Virginia Wineries. We enjoyed our stay.
We've been going there for thirty plus years, it's still great! I highly recommend it as a restaurant and B&B, truly a Beautiful Virginia countryside experience. COVID-19 safeguards are in place, we had yet another wonderful brunch experience there today.

Went last night for Valentine's dinner, 4 course 90$pp. We were disappointed in the food. Staff was very nice. Citrus salad was bitter, clam chowder was just ok, my beef main dish was like my pot roast in a pastry. I know its my preference but I dont like liver pate, there was a large amount of duck pate in the center. I had to be careful that it didnt get mixed with the mashed potatoes, which were just ok as well. But I thought ok, the desert has got to be good.
