RecommendedElaine Weaver was the artist who did my tattoo. It came out beautifully! The shop is right in downtown Chapel Hill. They had very strict COVID 19 criteria. I was in a separate room, everyone wore masks, and they disinfected before and after my visit. No one was allowed in the waiting room. Elaine was a fantastic artist and a friendly person. One of the best artists in the area. Highly recommend!
Kelly has been the artist working on my Yu-Gi-Oh Egyptian God Card sleeve. She has been extremely pleasant to work with and converse with. I highly recommend Kelly and Ascension Tattoo to any and all who are seeking to get a tattoo.

This shop is wonderful. From the moment you walk in the door and are greeted by Jess, you’re made to feel welcome and at ease, a sometimes rare thing in a tattoo shop. The reception area is beautiful decorated with plenty of seating. The tattoo rooms are private and relaxing. My artist, Christina, was wonderful. She took on my coverup and knocked it out of the park. I am so, so happy to have found this shop and will be making many visits in the future!
Christina is the best tattoo artist. She always does a great job adding her own twist to what I’m asking for.
Went as a walk-in and saw Kelly. Brought a few reference pictures and she gave me exactly what I wanted. Fantastic vibes in the shop and love supporting a local woman-owned business!
