I will regret the decision to put my dad here for the rest of my life. There are some good people working in the Wilson Center, but overall, the patients are ignored, except when they need meals or meds or changing. If you have an aging parent with health problems, research nursing homes now, so you don’t have to make a snap decision in the middle of a bad situation.
I left a three-bedroom condo on Clearwater Beach, FL, with a view of the Gulf of Mexico plus an apt. in Greenwich Village, NYC, with a view of the Empire State Bldg.for a 2 bedroom Wallace apt with a view of the parking lot of Sears and Macy's, and I have never been happier! In one respect, the place is somewhat spacious and modern looking. Two residents to a room. Cleaner than some places. Some of the staff is wonderful. That being said, some of the staff is absolutely terrible. Ill residents fall through the cracks and no one takes their symptoms seriously. Too complacent and occasionally cruel. Serious issues made aware are not addressed. If your loved one resides here, please stay on top of things. Keep an open eye.

I have had the pleasure of working at Asbury Methodist Village for 9 years. It's a wonderful community. In addition my mother in law has had three occasions to be a transitional care resident at the Wilson Health Care Center at Asbury Methodist Village. In all occasions she received superb care. The nurses sang to her, treated her with respect, and demonstrated love in their care of her. And she loved the food. In her words "delightful".
