I was referred to Dr. Malkani for hip replacement. I heard from other medical professionals (I am a nurse) that he is the best surgeon & I trust his reputation. Understandably, he is heavily focused on my weight, as he wants the best outcome for his surgery & obesity poses risks/complications. But to keep telling me I am eating in excess all the time, drinking sodas & eating a bunch of white rice & bread, & not exercising - all of which are false, is frustrating & degrading. Fixer of knees. The best. But really hard to get appointment
It will be 10 years this November, 2018 that I had my left knee total replaced by Dr. Malkani. I walk a lot and carry young children around when necessary for my job. I have my regular check ups and have not had to have the artificial cartilage replaced yet. I am ready when it is time. Great people to work with. I recommend to everyone I know who has knee trouble to see him. Several in my area have.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Malkani for shoulder tear. First available appointment was over four weeks out. One week before my scheduled appointment, the office called me to reschedule since he was leaving early. Next available appointment with him was another five weeks from the time they contacted me to reschedule. I can understand if the doctor has something come up, however, I don't think the patient should be made to wait another five weeks to see him. Office staff was rude.
Listened to what I had to say. Took X-rays, had mri, examined my knee and told me my options. Together we selected best option. Had excellent therapy and recovered very fast.
