Awful. 'Experts' are friendly, but do not listen to what you tell them. I went in blonde and left with orangey-brown hair, after the first mess-up made me platinum blonde. My request was to stay blonde, but to add some dimension. I also asked to shape up the cut I had. I have almost no hair in the back now. It took two 'stylists' 4 1/2 hours and they charged me $171. I have never had a worse experience in a salon. Do NOT go here.

I received a $75 gift certificate online, printed it out and lost it. They could see that I received it and knew I hadn't been in since it was sent to me, but they would only give me half of what the gift was as they stated that there was no way to tell if someone else had used it or not. I guess this means that if you get a gift certificate, you could make 10 copies of it and give to your friends. I do not believe that they could not tell it had not been used. Yuck. – I can't believe I had gone to Mark Pardos place instead of this one! I have never received better highlights in my life! This salon is beautiful and all of the staff are very professional and genuine with their advice and services. I will be back 100%!!! SO much better than other Aveda salons I've been to in this city.

They're absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! They pick and choose who gets lower prices and who gets the higher prices! Completely over priced! I worked there for 3 days and they only paid me for ONE day. They said I was un reliable even though I changed my school schedule to acomidate them! And showed up to work the days they asked me to. HORRIBLE.

I have gone there twice so far. A few months apart to have lowlights and a haircut. Robert takes care of my hair. I really enjoy my time there. It is relaxing and I like my hair again. It is a younger atmosphere - more talkative and outgoing - appropriate to an age group of 20 - 35. I am older (50's) but the young people do not bother me. I have read these tips below and do not have the same feeling or experiences to share. My time spent there has been positive.

Very Dissapointing experience – The gentleman, Kenneth, who typically answers the phone gives quite an impressive spiel when you inquire on services. He explains the stylists are Aveda trained "13 years experience, contemporary, etc." whatever you want to hear basically. He continued on stating they do a thorough consult prior to the cut and style. It all sounded great but my experience was nothing but terrible. Arte de la Mano lost my trust and my business – When I first walked into Arte de la Mano, I loved it! I thought I had finally found the perfect salon. Things changed about 3 months ago when I went in for an eyebrow shaping. The woman who was doing my eyebrows suggested that I try the Aveda Outer Peace line for my acne prone skin. She told me that the Aveda products are guaranteed so if I wasn't satisfied with them, I could take them back.
