I went for a visit and was charged $296.28 for a level 3, expanded, 30 min visit. The Dr. Wasn't in my room 10 minutes. She looked in my ears and wrote me three prescriptions. I called the office to dispute the charges and they basically told me that that was correct. Funny how my husband has been in there w/out Insurance and payed less than $100.00. Won't EVER happen to me again!!!
I didn't find their self pay rate to be inexpensive at all. Maybe I'm too accustomed to just paying co pays to know what an office visit cost should be, but almost $300 to basically just get a script I already take written seems pretty ridiculous. I guess I should have asked that question first, particularly since I couldn't even get a refill with the maintenance drug.
