I used to work there and my experience was terrible....the gm treats his staff and the patrons terrible....he's a racist...a bigot...a sexist.....constantly making race comments about African american guest....constantly making sexual references to the female employees.....makes fun of 2 of the food runners for being homosexual....and to top it all off he fired one of the managers who was the backbone of that establishment....their is a booth that has a torn cushion where he seats all black people on the bar side......he nee... read more
Terrible service. Came in around 2:30, so it wasn't busy. The server didn't bother to ask how I wanted my steak cooked. She didn't even bring our food out, and never came to check on us afterwards. So I didn't get the chance to tell her my well done steak was terrible and she didn't bring me the dressing I asked for. I had to go get the hostess to find her. I visited The Arena Tavern this past weekend and was treated very rudely by the Manager. I promptly left and went to Marlows instead. They were very friendly and their service was great. Unlike the Arena, which was almost empty, Marlows was very crowded. Despite how busy they were, they seated us quite quickly and provided us with wonderful service. No wonder they were so busy. I won't be taking my wife back to the Arena Tavern. I now understand why their restaurant was so empty.
This place is not very accommodating to its customers, nor does it communicate with them very well either. Our group was told over the phone a few days prior that we had reservations for last Saturday only to find out upon arrival that they do not place reservations for "Football Saturdays". The general manager didn't seem to believe us and quite frankly didn't seem to care.
