The Area Agency on Aging of West Central Arkansas is a ONE STOP SHOP for seniors. They can help with myriad issues that today's seniors face, from housing to food insecurity to healthcare-related issues and in-home care. As a not-for-profit, they truly are "in business" just to help seniors in need. They are a wonderful group of caring professionals who will do everything in their power to assist seniors to live independent, meaningful, and dignified lives.
AAA has so many awesome programs like the Senior Companion Program. Volunteers who want to help take care of those who need extra attention and help. Volunteers are such an undervalued resource and AAA has done an amazing job of empowering theirs.
The love and compassion the whole organization gives to the clients. One can not do without the other. 💗
They have a wonderful Certified Ombudsman Program that trains Volunteers to go to Area Nursing Homes to ensure that the Quality Of Life & Quality of Care is up to the Highest Standards for the Resident Senior Citizens living in Nursing Homes!
