Unbelievable how dedicated this man is to his patients. He really cares and make sure you are doing what your suppose to!!
Blame shifted and gaslighted my partner for a mistake they made. Receptionist is disrespectful to the T. Lastly, and most concerning, is the lack of training this Dr. seems to have in relation to psychology. Being an MD does not make you a psychologist. Years of alternate training required. This man comes off as very suspicious. His business only exasperates this.

Dr. Detwiler is a great professional committed to helping our Veteran community. I have never met a medical professional in AK that dedicates so much time and energy to helping others. He spends time with all of his patients unlike many prescribing professionals that have a revolving door of patients. His staff has always been courteous and professional in our interaction and I would not hesitate to refer a friend or family member.
One of the best psychiatrists I have had the pleasure of meeting. He has 40 years experience in the medical and mental health field, was a green beret Lt. Col in the Army. He is the only psychiatrist in Alaska that I know of that does medication management and psychotherapy, he does not just sit and talk to you for 15 mins gives you meds and says goodbye.
