Old name new store. The store has been going through a long renovation they got rid of the cats (my kids hate this change.) But the smell is gone. Brought in plants and the reptiles to the front. Feels like a rainforest when you come in. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It has become our new favorite place to visit every weekend. Every time we go in I find something new. What a store Ok, My kids dragged me to aqua tropics to see the big turtles!. I found out later that they are sulcatta tortoises.This place is like a small zoo. Especially with all the tropical plants they have around the store.I've been to a lot of pet stores all over the west coast and they rank right at the top.Every one is friendly and very knowledgeable about there animals.After them spending about an hour with me going over requerments for keeping a sulcatta I toke one home, they even had a care sheet for me.Personalize... read more

AWFUL EXPERIENCE – 'MIKE' THE OWNER; IS UNFRIENDLY, RUDE AND THREATENING TOWARDS CUSTOMERS. Today he ejected me from the store after interpreting my minor issue as a personal insult and then going 'loonie' over it.. I regularly buy feeder rats for our snake. Two feeder rats had died a few hours after I purchased them at his store. One died in our snake cage. The other one was still in its store packaging. My wife and I went back to the store to buy another rat and alert the owner of the issue for his benefit. I didn't bring ... read more

STAY AWAY FROM AQUA TROPICS 'MIKE' THE OWNER IS UNFRIENDLY, RUDE AND THREATENING TOWARDS CUSTOMERS. aqua tropics smells, rude employees not the selection of fish they had years ago, also the fish some were double in price compared to other pet stores so look around first. Tanks are nasty looking, smells awful back by the turtle tanks like rot or something dead. High prices for small aquatic plants in comparison to other aquatic stores aqua tropics is way over priced. Will be a lifetime customer! What a great place! I went there to look at a bird & had the best pet store experience I have ever had. I am a cautious buyer & always have a million questions to ask when I go to purchase an animal. I usually know more then the pet store, but at Aqua Tropics they were kind, knowledgable & willing to answer all my questions & concerns. I have reptiles & now a bird :) & will be definitely be returning often for all my exotic pet care needs!
