Wow!! All that negatively! I haven't been for a while, but the food was always great, the service terrific, and the staff wonderful! I used to go to LA every other month, and a stop at Apple Annie's was a must! And everyone I took there loved it too! I got to know one waitress well enough, that she invited us to her wedding! Food was ok... They do not give you enough for your money. I ordered 2kids meals (barely enough food to fill up an infant), thechicken strip lunch (2strips), a waffle and hash browns came out to almost $40. The staff is very unsociable. Once they get your order and serve you, they keep an eye for when you're almost done eating and rush your bill
My wife and I ordered the special prime rib. After a wait to be seated our order was taken. After a 30 min. wait with no food and seeing others being served who had been seated after us I went to check on our order with the night manager. 10 minutes later still no food but our waiter came to our table making excuses of being busy with a large party. The meat loaf is incredible, I didn't even need to use ketchup.
Apple Annie's was always our favorite stop and often times, the best part of the trip ;-) .The hot apple dumpling with ice cream. Yum!
The food is yummy and the service is great. The apple dumpling is the bomb!
