Great salesman and excellent trailers
Last fall, we purchased a brand new, upgraded model of one of Appalachian Trailer's 20' enclosed sportier version utility trailers. Not a cheap purchase. For some reason, there was one wheel missing when we were shown it at the dealership, but it was the model we wanted. We had to come back to pick it up once the missing wheel had been put on. I ordered a 20’ skid steer tilt deck trailer on 2/28 and just picked it up today (5/18) at the Mannheim PA location. Towed it home about 140 miles and for being empty it towed great. I am very pleased with my purchase. The transaction was smooth and easy and the staff was very helpful and courteous. I would definitely purchase a trailer there again.
i ordered a trailer they are not willing to add on any items or make small change even when customer has no issue paying for it and they are having to build trailer anyway
I purchases a new 6X12 enclosed trailer from the Ohio facility a couple of months ago and the salesman was great, not pushy and very patient and helpful. I inspected every inch myself, even crawled underneath the trailer. The workmanship appeared excellent. The office staff was so nice and efficient! I picked up a 7'X12' Appalachian Dump trailer this morning at the Lancaster location. They forgot to mention it wasn't inspected. The people at the Lancaster location are very friendly but you can't call them. The people that answer the phone are in Ohio and VERY "this is it, take it or leave it." I ordered the trailer 3 1/2 weeks ago. There was one being built like what I wanted. They said it would take 2 to 3 weeks for it to come in. The brand new car trailer I ordered when I arrived had scratches and gouges all over it. When questioned why its in this condition I was told to call the salesman Chris. Upon calling Chris he told me they can send it back to be repainted or refund my money. What a waste of time. Waiting weeks for it to be built travel time. Save yourself the hassle and buy another brand. I emailed my experience and got a generic sorry. I purchased and sold used trailers in better condition then this brand new one.
I had special ordered a deck over tilt 20k trailer with oak decking in November of 2018 and picked it up January of 2019. Trailer looks nice but wanted to wait to right a review because I wanted to haul some equipment and see how it performs. I tow it with a 2018 ram 3500 diesel with 19.5 wheels. Trailer tows alot better with weight on it. Empty it a very rough ride. I have been chipping and scratching the paint due to use and noticed that there is no primer and the paint comes off very easy.
