We live locally and love going here on weekends for a casual and yummy meal. I love the French toast, BLT and Ants Pants Cakes.
I went into Ants Pants for a coffee with friends on Sun, 8/2 around 1p. I worked in hospitality for many years, so it was jarring when the barista said nothing more than “Hi.” I tipped 20% because of my service history and there was no acknowledgement either. I asked my friends about their experience and they shared a similar observation. It’s possible he was having a bad day, but it inspired me to warn folks in case they have a similar experience. The coffee was delicious, but the service was sub-par.
The murmur of conversations made for a pleasant soundscape. It felt like a fine stop for us during our afternoon out, though the seating felt a bit cramped. The overall impression was agreeable, but perhaps not somewhere we'd rush back to.
