After my last visit to the Ballantyne location 3 months ago i saw a lot new things. New menu and more mature service. Was a busy night but our waiter give us an excelent service. You better try the new menu. Do not listen to the rumor because they are just rumor.
Top of the Line! – Cant be the service and great food. Try the banana foster flambe tableside! To Die for!!
Wonderful Experience !! – A friend of mine recommended Villa Antonio (Ballantyne) we had a wonderful time; the food was high quality, and the service was outstanding ! Will definetly be back again, you have to try the Banana's Foster.
Best Italian Restaurant – After reading most of the reviews here I decided to write my own, because it bothers me how some people rate the Restaurant in one bad experience. Everybody has a bad experience once in a while - but I say ; you got to try it for yourself because everyone has different opinions about everything not just food or service. Beware Hidden Charges at the Wine Tasting Events – We were very disappointed when we tried one of Villa Antonio's wine tasting events at the South Boulevard location. These events supposedly allow each person to try 5 wines for $20 and include hors d'oeuvres. As we found out, an undisclosed 18% service charge is added to the bill regardless of the size of the party. Fantastic Food, great ambient – What makes this place unique above all are the Owners they pay attention to the smallest details in order to make your dining experience one of a kind, the ambient is extraordinary, the Wine list amaizing, the food is one of the best if not the best Italian food in the Charlotte area, my wife and I have being dinning here for more than 22 years and every year gets better, to the Owners Antonio & Son Anthony please dont ever change you guys are the best. An excellent restaurant but a little pricey.
A very good pick for a pleasant date night out – My wife and I were considering different restaurants to go out for our anniversary. After looking over several recommendations from friends, we decided on Villa Antonio Ristorante on South Blvd. We figured it would be pretty good, but what we experienced was far beyond that. Medicore food, wanna be Italian place with high prices. – We went there for a birthday party of a coworker. The only thing positive about the experience was that the drinks were refilled quickly. The chicken was bland, the pork dry and rice hard (from the buffet). The dish that had seafood in it reeked (like it had been sitting out too long).
