I was associated with my prior Neurosurgeon for more than 20 years. Before he retired, he gave me a list of Neurosurgeons that he recommended. At that time none had extensive reviews to steer people to, or away from doctors on the list. As the time approached that I was having more and more neurological troubles I decided to call the office of Dr. Anthony Petraglia. I found his staff to be very kind. informative and professional. I was first evaluated by Dr. Petraglia. then he went into open review of my previous neurologica... read more
Dr. Petraglia and Anthony Dambra are amazing. In August I had a cervical laminectomy with spinal fusion at c4-c7. Dr. Petraglia was very patient with me as I asked questions, he took time with me and did not rush me. He explained the surgery and recovery and was very honest about it. I did develop C5 palsy mostly in my left arm. With OT. I have regained the use of my arm. I found Dr. Petraglia compassionate, professional and understandable. I feel so much better that I had the surgery and I highly recommend him.
Dr Petraglia operated on my broken neck. He is an excellent surgeon with a professional and caring approach to his patients. I would recommend him as well as his team to anyone who needs this type of surgery.
Had a laminectomy on c4-c7 in my neck on July of 2020. Woke up from surgery in worse pain than I went in. They told me it could take up to 2 years for the nerve pain to subside. Him and his PA are nice guys but they are not very willing to say something went wrong. I have never received a follow-up call to see if I had any improvement. I guess I would think twice to do this surgery knowing I could come out worse than when I went in. It has been 3 and a half years with still no improvement. I would recommend getting at least ... read more
Review for Dr. Anthony Petraglia, Dr. Timothy Wagner, Rochester Regional Health, New York For years, I had suffered with worsening, constant, severe sciatica, including, tooth-ache-like pain, in both legs every night: I was not able to put weight on either leg without sharp pain, unable to walk; I was headed for assisted living. Dr. Petraglia performed an extensive low back surgery, March 2022 - this surgery effectively alleviated the nighttime sciatica in both legs. Dr. Petraglia and PA DAmbra (the best PA I have ever been ... read more
Dr. Petraglia was very thorough, explained all the options to me as we worked through spine surgery. Office visits were on time and everyone in the practice spent adequate time answering my questions and assisting me with my surgical plan.
Dr. Petraglia performed my back surgery and got me back on my feet. Immediate relief. His office staff has been extremely efficient and friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Petraglia.
It took me 2 months to get an appointment with him. Kept me waiting for over 30 minutes after my appointment time and was extremely dismissive as soon as he walked in the door. No bed side manner at all. I have 3 disc herniations which are pinching nerves and am in constant pain. He told me it was because I wasn't exercising and that my pain couldn't be as bad as I was describing. He didn't examine me and maybe spent a total of 5 minutes in the room for the appointment. Told me he didn't think I was a candidate for surgery a... read more
Dr. Petraglia and his assistant, Anthony, are amazing! It has been four months since my surgery, and I feel so much better than I felt before the surgery. My surgery consisted of lumbar laminectomy with fusion on L3-5. The surgery took about 4.5 hours, and I have 4 cages, six screws and rods in my spine. I do not have any regrets as I had been suffering from extreme pain and numbness down my left leg. I liked Dr Petraglia from the very first visit. I found him to be caring, personable, knowledgeable, confident, and patient. ... read more
