They took care of my daughter quickly but gave me a scared when they didn't know what she had and were not able to give me results quickly.
I love the extra care they give. I love how understanding and tentative they are dealing with children. My son has Osteogenesis Imperfecta and has has several surgeries at this location. As much as I hate being in hospitals, this is one hospital I hate to leave.
The staff are super friendly and great. Scheduling an appointment with the Otolaryngology department is absolutely ridiculous and a nightmare. My child's pediatrician had sent in a referral almost 2 months ago. After 2 weeks of not hearing anything I called and they said her referral hasn't been reviewed yet and they would call me when it was. Fast forward to today, I called. I LOVE THIS HOSPITAL THE STAFF ARE SO FRIENDLY AND CARING
Did a great job taking care of my daughter and did alittle bit better explaining of what could be happening since the other hospitals can't figure it out
We went to many other doctors and hospitals over a five and a half year time span but it was Dr. Saps and Dr. Kuntz that finally properly diagnosed our daughter with a rare autoimmune blood disorder. We wouldn't go any where else but Lurie's. It's been over three years since her diagnosis and we have seen doctors in at least five different departments and multiple in patient stays for up to two weeks at a time which included plasmapheresis and monthly IVIG treatments plus many other appointments.
