Every 11 to 13 weeks I need an eye injection to cure my wet macular degeneration. I just moved to Venice, FL from Chicago and my former ophthalmologist was good but not as good as Dr. Shane. After the injection, no discomfort. She really knows her medical craft. If I could give her and her staff a 10 star rating I would.
Cancelled my appointment with no explanation at all. Frustrating.
Just read Dr. Shane’s bio and you too will be very impressed. The front desk staff is very friendly and professional. Jerome scheduled my appointment and took my insurance info. He informed me that I could get all the new patient forms on their website so I brought them in with me to save time. Once I was checked in, Glynis took me to the back where she performed all the preliminary tests using state of the art equipment and fully explained what she was doing and why as well as what to expect, putting me very much at ease. What a wonderful experience dealing with Dr. Shane and her staff. They were all so courteous and professional. Dr Shane thorough and takes her time in explaining my diagnosis. She is very compassionate and makes you feel very comfortable.
I have never had a more positive experience with a doctor as I had with Dr. Shane. She and her staff are "top notch" in my opinion. They were so thorough and professional throughout the examination and explained everything and answered so many questions. We didn't feel hurried and have found a doctor who really cares about her patients.
I highly recommend Dr. Anita Shane. She is a skilled and caring clinician, but also a delightful person. She took extra time to fully explain what was going on with my eye, in terminology that made sense to me. I believe in the patient knowing “why”, and that’s the approach she takes. I feel lucky to have found her.
My initial visit was on time. Dr Shane and all personel were professional and very pleasant. The Dr. took her time with me and didn't rush. Excellent visit!
I'm so glad to find Dr. Shane at her new location I would follow her just about anywhere! She performed macula hole repair on me two years ago Very professional and thorough and explained everything in detail. She has a wonderful 'bedside manner' and I wish other doctors were like her.
