Dr. Wessels, the other veterinarians, the vet techs and the front door staff are all very friendly and very compassionate about pets and their care. They are all very knowledgeable and helpful. They go out of their way to help you out with your dog or cat. I also appreciate how they do there scheduling. Both of my dogs are reactive when they see new dogs and how they do their scheduling they make it so no one sees each other. That takes a lot of stress off of me and my dogs. $22 for a nail trim!!! I will not be bringing my animals back here.
I have been going to AWCM for about 10+ years. I moved from Monee to Manteno five years ago. I still made the 25 minute drive to bring all my animals (I have 4 dogs) to AWCM. A new vet opened recently in town two blocks away from me, so I decided to give them a try, only because of convenience. I brought one of my dogs there and they were very nice and did a great job. I have 3 dogs...2 of which can exhibit poor behavior at the vets office. My Duke is a rescue that I adopted 4.5 years ago, and every year, I absolutely dread taking him to the vet. Dr. Wessels uses the most gentle care while treating him and uses the utmost patience while dealing with him. She has always worked with me trying new ideas to help with his anxiety and fear. Dr. Wessels and staff are the absolute best, I lost 2 pets in the last 6 months and I never seen so much compassion. They did everything for us and our beloved pets! They are truly an amazing team!
I absolutely love AWCM, Dr. Wessels, Dr. Bieri and all the people that work there. I transferred to them after moving to Monee in 2008 and I recommend them to anyone looking for a vet. They have so much love and compassion for animals in need. They have taken great care of my own personal dogs as well as going above and beyond for the dogs in the rescue I volunteer for. If your looking for a great vet, this is the place to come.
They are all so friendly and informative, my golden retriever, Tucky loves going there!
