law-suit saavy – Owner and "Doctor" Randy Tesar is skilled in the lawsuit game. If you suspect he is lying to you, then get your records immediately. He changes records to cover up his errors. He has been known to illegally alter records to cover up his mistakes to prevent illegal action.

LAZY Medicine – > How do I know which profile to write on? < A couple of months ago, I took my dear older dog in to this clinic for a second opinion. I had been scheduled with Dr Mark Dildee to talk about possible treatments for him. When I got inside, we were greeted at the door by an overly active/excited young dog who was off leash! He came bouncing up and started nipping at my dogs feet and ears, then proceeded to mount him!! As I am trying to wrestle this young pup off of my sore little old man, everyone in the office s... read more

An ex-employee – Please be wary of AMC, for your pets sake. There are reasons why the turnover rate for both employees and doctors are extremely high. ***BE CAREFUL OF DR TESAR! It is time for him to retire. He does not conduct thorough exams (eyes, nose, ears, heart, respiratory) . This causes a lot of important (life altering) details with your pet to slip through the cracks. He is a nice, charismatic man, but he would rather talk to you then deal with your pet. NEVER LET RANDY TESAR OPERATE ON YOUR PET! He has the highest... read more

Questionable record – There are two duplicate entries for this clinic for some reason on CitySearch, but I read a rant about it, which was criticized. I verified from credible sources that the clinic's head, Dr. Randy Tesar was disciplined by the State Veterinary Medicine board twice. In 1993, he was fined $2,000 and put on a two year probation for permitting an unauthorized personnel to perform surgery. In 2006, he was fined $750 for records violation. The Animal Medical Clinic is also named as defendant twice. March 2002 a... read more

Wonderful caring staff – Dr. Dilday is one of the most caring vets I've ever encountered.

I LOVE AMC – all of the doctors at Animal Medical Clinic are amazing, caring people. all three of them all have a genuine love of animals and honestly just want to do what is best for them. I have been going there for many years and have seen all three vets that are currently there. the entire staff has treated me with nothing but respect and that one receptionist is hot.

Excellent Vet – I acquired a one year old papillion (Oliver) who was abused and very difficult to handle. He had a luxated Patella and could not use his rear leg. I was quoted $2500 to $3000 dollars for the surgery by all of the new corporate-esque money grubbers that are replacing our veterinarians in the Portland area. Dr. Tesar quoted me around $900.00 for the entire procedure, including post-op office visits, and he stuck to it. It's only 8 weeks later and Ollie can jump onto a 4 foot tall counter top (to steal my breakf... read more

I Have Found My Vet! – A friend of mine recommended Animal Medical Clinic to me because I was unhappy with my old vet. The receptionists and nurses were all very polite and professional, and the doctor I saw (Dr. Dilday) was great. He spent plenty of time with me and had a great bedside manner with my dog. Her teeth were bad, so he scheduled her right in for a teeth cleaning the next day. I dropped her off at 7:30 before work and picked her up that evening. The doctor even called me himself to let me know she was doing just ... read more

Caring staff that I trust – I've been taking my cats to Animal Medical Clinic for almost four years now and they've received a variety of treatments - from clearing up a simple infection to major surgery. Every time I've been pleased with the quality of care and attentiveness of the staff. This was never more evident than when I recently had to euthanize my old and very sick cat. The staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to make us comfortable. I'm very grateful and will continue to trust them with my pets' ca... read more
