I called and was quoted $138 for spaying a female cat who lives with a homeless person. When I got there the fee was $328 plus a battery of tests. I had taken five feral cats there in the past and had them spayed for $138. I understand Safe Harbor was bought out and is no longer the helpful veterinarians they once were. Just be aware they are big business now.
Doctor called to let me know status of Princess. She answered all my questions. Both techs who came to take Princess in for her appointment and back to the car was very nice and again they answered all my questions.
One of our pet ducks badly tore his foot and he couldn’t even stand on it at all. The wonderful staff talked to me and made time for him to get in, and Dr. Platzer is amazing. She stitched his foot and provided great care. He was able to stand on it today and seems to already be doing much better! Dr. Platzer also took time to explain everything thoroughly and answer my questions without making me feel rushed. I am so grateful!!
I came in yesterday and had the nicest nurse me me at my car and made the process so smooth and I felt like my baby was being very much loved and taken care of. I think safe Harbor is hands down the BEST in town! Thanks again for taking such good care of, Lilly. 🙂
Possible Review Below ——————————— When I made an appointment for my puppy, this past Friday, prior to the vet appointment, I mentioned to three separate employees ( the vet, the vet tech and the receptionist ) to ensure that my puppy received her Sentinel flea and heartworm preventative medication. The same evening after the appointment, when I reviewed the invoice from that afternoon's vet appointment for my puppy, I noticed that the vet and/or the vet tech had not given my...Continue Reading

Hi Stephen, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your recent experience. We do apologize for the service you received on the day you visited. Per our discussion, we have sent you your records. We appreciate your time with us and we wish you and your pup all the best.
Best in the business. My dog threw her back hips out. I took her in, after a thorough check and X-ray they fixed her up. In a few days she was back to her self.
Very sad to give this review, as we have been using this vet office for almost a decade. On more than one occasion I have been confused with another pet's owner. Vaccinations aren't documemted appropriately. My dog possibly needs knee surgery. Waited over a wk, after calling twice, only to find out the surgeon isnt coming to their practice anymore. Meanwhile, my senior dog is hobbling on 3 legs, in pain. That was the final straw. Now both of our digs will be going to another office. Safe Harbor used to be the place to bring ... read more

Hi Jessica, we appreciate your feedback. Please give our office a call (850)409-5336 and ask for the Hospital Manager so that we may discuss your concerns.
Dr’s are compassionate and explain all procedures and treatments. Technicians are very helpful.
I have been with Safe Harbor for 20 years. Since being bought by Southern Veternairy partners the quality is horrible. You can’t see the vet or go in with your animal even though the state is open. When you call in refills or food requests, they give the wrong information or it takes over 30 minutes to get what you need. The quality has decreased, the caring has decreased and the prices have increased.
Business response:
