We carry home raised puppies and kittens, birds, snakes, rodents, lizards, geckos, spiders, fish and much more! We specialize in aquatic tanks and vivarium designs. Our team members are specially trained and would love to answer your questions.

fun shop I like to go to Animal Ark for frogs and frog supplies. They always have live crickets in various sizes on hand (unlike some of the big chain pet stores). Parking is plentiful. They have a good selection of fish and always have some cute puppies or kittens in the window. Prices are good and the selection is great considering the store's size.
little store, lots of product This store manages to fit all your basic (and them some) needs into a very small space. When Petsmart and PetCo wouldn't have it, we go to Animal Ark. They have a good selection of frogs and fish in particular. Prices are often better than the big chain stores. The employees are knowledgable and great with the animals.
Good variety, decent prices They have a huge variety of animals for sale, as well as nearly any supplies you need, at competitive prices. They are a small store, which I don't mind - makes it more personal. Downside; their staff isn't all that knowledgeable, so do most of your research beforehand.
Small but good Animal Ark Pet Store is a very small store in a small plaza, but they have everything. No matter what kind of pet supply you want, you can always find it there. They always have all kind of animals on display there so even if you don't need any thing, it's still a lot of fun to just visit and say hi to the baby animals. Their prices are competitive. The only drawback is that the smell is not complimentary because of the limited space.

the staff is very uneducated on their fish. I've seen them sell multiple illegal fish (jaguar cichlids being sold as a special high colored cichlid) usually don't understand what species is in which tank and its always a run around trying find the price of fish from "the manager " while they guess
When Don and Nan owned Animal Ark, it was incredible. Now that Mike's bought it, it's only a step away from being a basic chain pet store. Axolotls without filters and biofilms that suggest the water hasn't been changed in ages. A tank full of DEAD shrimp. Bettas all covered in STRESS stripes or in cups that are so packed full of java moss that they can't swim. if you are coming to purchase a cage here don't I had bought a animal awhile ago as well as a cage I was aware they had a policy on glass cages that once you bought them you can't return them, but if that's your policy, don't sell people cages with chipped glass, I had arrived home and had not noticed the crack because it was covered by cardboard, I called them to see if I could return it and they refused, I'm very unhappy with this because it was a very pricy cage, that cage recently shattered and with me not knowing any wh... read more

I heard about this pet store on an exotic wildlife channel. I was making plans to visit them. Then after checking out their website they advertise that they sell puppies. Good dog breeders never sell their dogs through 3rd party sellers. It is virtually guaranteed that pet store puppies are puppy mill puppies. Even if the puppies end up being physically healthy there is no guarantee on what the parents are like. Dogs have the emotional intelligence of an average 4 year old.
