The hotel has a side building that is detached from the main structure. If you are placed in the side building, you will unfortunately have a 2-star motel experience at 4-star price.

Great service at this busy hotel. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Rooftop pool area was lovely. Great that they give you a tote bag and towels to borrow to take to the beach. You also get sunbeds at a specific part of the beach. Restaurant in the hotel was lovely, with complimentary coffee in the lobby each morning. Great location, 10 minutes stroll to South Beach. 5 minutes away from the bus stop for the open top tour. 25 minutes in a cab from the cruise port ( which was due to bad traffic). I would give zero stars if I could. Less than three weeks before my stay, this hotel canceled my reservation (booked many months ago) via a single email with no warning. Had I not caught the email by chance, I would have shown up with nowhere to stay. I spent over an hour on the phone with staff who had no idea what was going on, eventually blaming a "change of ownership." Their only solution? "Email a manager and we will call you back later." Kimpton Angler’s Hotel South Beach was a solid stay for us, mostly because it absolutely nails the basics that actually matter on a Miami trip. The service felt genuinely on it, the location is hard to beat in South Beach, and I loved having clean floors with no carpet. The rooms in the newer tower are efficiently laid out, the pillows are truly comfortable, and the patio was the perfect size to get a little air without feeling like an afterthought.
