Dr. Star replaced my left hip in January of 2019. He replaced my right hip in September of 2019. I chose him because in the past he successfully treated a few of my friends. I'm very pleased with the results. I can walk like a normal person now, without "rocking" from side to side and without bending over due to pain. I highly recommend Dr. Star to people who suffer from hip arthritis.
I've been seeing Dr. Star for over a year as he's treated my arthritic hip; he explained each step of the process, reviewing xrays with me and showing areas of deterioration that persisted despite addressing them with less intrusive approaches like PT and quarterly hip injections. I have been going to Dr. Star for years. I had my first knee replacement by him 4 years ago. I just had another done by him 6 weeks ago. I am very happy with the results.
It is evident that Dr. Star sets the bar high for himself, his colleagues, and his staff resulting in a client-centric practice, a real boon for patients. Dr. Star has replaced both of my knees and both of my husband's hips--thanks to Dr. Star's skill and expertise, my husband and I have experienced excellent outcomes. We would recommend Dr. Star, a consummate professional, without reservation.
Dr. Star and his staff are superb. I had hip replacement surgery. I was well prepared. Surgery was successful, & post op care and followup were excellent.
Everything beginning to end went very smooth and everyone we encountered was very helpful
Went to see Dr Star for knees and hip issues, as I was told I needed at least one knee surgery. I was also told my hip pain was from the way I was walking. Dr Star examined me a said my knees were fine, but my hip was the issue. In his care for almost a year and am now ready to get my hip replaced. He has helped me to be pain free for most of that year and I can't wait to finally have the hip replaced so I can get back to my life!
I had a left knee replacement by Dr. Star in 2007, that went very well, so when a right hip issue developed I knew I wanted Dr. Star to handle it. All pain gone in 10 days after surgery and I was walking well. The bonus this time was the wonderful treatment at the Lansdale Hospital Ortho & Spine Institute. My gratitude and thanks to all.
Extremely satisfied with my right total knee replacement. Now I am ready for my left total knee replacement would only have Dr. Starr perform the surgery
