He only saw me once before surgery and the day of it not at all I ask his assistant to place it lower on my chest and it didn’t happen. He has a big ego and I would not recommend him to anyone! He needs to realize patient care is what he does not do well at all
Dr. Rubin does not seem to take the needs of elderly patients over the age of 85 seriously. He never will meet w/ patients unless they are younger & not on Medicare. His neglectful care nearly resulted in a loved one's death. He should be sued for malpractice. My advice is to look for a cardiologist elsewhere. His office is rude & incompetent, as well. Avoid!!!
Dr Rubin is a great doctor. The first time u meet and see him you immediately feel comfortable with him. He has a great style and easy manner. Unusual for any doctor these days he is typically close to on time. In other words u don’t get called back and wait in the room for minutes on end. He’s frank with you but never damaging of your self esteem. Monica his nurse his awesome. The one downside and it’s not his fault scheduling can sometimes be a challenge. Melissa keeps tight reins on schedule.
I can't rate Eisenhower Desert Cardiology medically because it is impossible to see a doctor. My wife had an EKG arrhythmia detected during an unrelated procedure but it took seven calls to Eisenhower Desert Cardiology over 25 days to even get to talk to the new patient scheduler and get an appointment. Dr Rubin then canceled that appointment, as well as the second the one. 66 days later we are back at square one. GO ELSEWHERE!

I would trust whatever Dr. Rubin says without question. He listens, explains and gives me all the time I need. I have never seen a doctor who writes down everything you have told him and doesn't forget anything for the next visit. Dr Rubin's assistant Linn is wonderful with patients and I've seen her a couple times. If you book an appointment with Dr. Rubin you see Dr Rubin and not an assistant. One of the best doctors in the desert.
