Awful! She tried a procedure without even warning me that she was going to do it. No interpersonal skills at all. Very condescending.
Dr. Hammonds is personable and very experienced with surgery. As long as he understands the question, he gives a good answer. If he doesn’t understand the question, it seems best to say “can you explain this in a non-doctor way?” (He is one of those doctors that uses lingo and will explain if you don’t understand, but you have to speak up for him to explain better). He came in and looked at my son's eyes for seconds, then started to read through the notes from the referral doctors, and then said there was nothing he could do. He wasn't even kind about it. Then we got a huge bill...literally for nothing!
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Melton and his staff. By using the portal I am able to book appointments and receive prescription refills within a record amount of time. I have had horrible eye infections for dry eyes and Dr. Melton is the only one who seemed to really care and know what to do. He gave me a whole list suggestions including ordering good quality flax seed oil vitamins which truly work. Everything you see under this review section is true to a T. Have been a patient since 2019 when I was diagnosed with Keratoconus and I can ultimately say it has been the worst decision I have made for the health of my eyes. Due to his corporate role and plethora of patients with no cap, he is dismissive and outright arrogant. What he says goes and nothing more. Called to schedule an appointment for my daughter. She has a growth in her nose that is rapidly growing. It is disrupting her breathing and very concerning. I was told that Dr. Puri left instructions for all Wellcare patients (Medicaid) to be seen by his PA. CEENTA accepts Wellcare, but this doctor doesn't adhere to this policy. So much for the Hippocratic oath.
I'm a Catawba County resident and I've been a patient with this practice since before Dr Holland retired... upon his retirement, I chose Dr Self to be my physician and I'm sure glad I did.. my vision started changing and I realized I needed cataract surgery.. that's Dr Self's specialty! Today, was my 6th month checkup after surgery, not an issue with anything; the surgery was a success and I need not return for another year... PTL!!
