Dr Rapkin is professional and listens to my needs. She follows thru and is highly efficient. I’ve been going to her for years and had nothing but great appts. and feedback. Hike more, worry less !
I don’t care what anyone says — Dr. Rapkin is a rockstar. If you have a complex gynecological issue, especially anything involving pelvic pain or vulvodynia, she is well worth the wait to get into. She listens, she’s thoughtful, and there has yet to be an issue that I've presented to her that I didn't think she had the expertise to help with. OMG!!’ I wish I would have taken the reviews more seriously. The absolute worst doctor I have been to. The most painful exam. I have an open internal sore and she poked it in the inside and I was in tears as I flew off the table. I waited 10 months to see the #1 specialist in LS. From all the gynos I went to she did the least. Prescribed clobetrsil that I told her I have been using for over 15 years with no help. But she just said use more. Never going back. I waited months to get in with her only for her to basically dismiss me. I had been in lots of pain on my lower left side, bleeding non-stop for months. Long story short, she wrote things in my chart that were never told to me, put me on birth control (I told her I had no interest in being on birth control) after telling me it wasn’t Bc (I looked it up and 100% it’s Bc) and said that the pain o was in was probably a pulled muscle (that I had for 3 years??) because my ovary wasn’t even located there…I ended ... read more
Very disappointed in my appointment with Dr. Rapkin. Maybe I had too high of expectations going into it, but she didn't ask a single question about my presentation of PMDD, it seemed like she just had a boiler-plate "treatment" she can try and if you don't like that option then there's no help. It was surprising because I thought a researcher of this disease could have more empathy, but you won't find that here. I wish the IAPMD website wouldn't list her as a resource. Good luck to anyone on their PMDD journey, sending love.
