Lived here for 2 years and I should have left after day 1. First month, had major plumbing issues. Kitchen flooded and pipes had burst. Then the next month had mice issues. There was a hole from my sink to my neighbors sink the mice chewed through and they just slapped some fluff in there where they eventually ate through again. UPDATE: Don’t dismiss what you see when touring. I did. There was trash in the hallway when I toured. I dismissed it as kids eating snacks or that it happened that day. There was a spill in the hallway that wasn’t cleaned up (smelled disgusting). I thought: oh that must have just happened. Nooooo!!!!! It’s just always like this!!!! UPDATE: The police were here again the other day. Two squad cars, 4 cops, armed with rifles!!!! Now that it’s cold, the hallway has become a kids place of play. Absolutely disgusting smelled terrible like smoke, mold, piss, and weed. We scheduled an appointment for a viewing and they were not prepared to show us any of the apartments, we had to wait for them to find keys to the buildings. One set of keys she grabbed the wrong keys so we couldn’t see that they looked or smelled like. The paint was chipped in the bedroom and bathroom. It wouldn't let me do NO stars. All I can say is that this place has gone downhill in the last 20 years. I lived here before the big fire and management DID actually care about their tenants back then. Now, it's all about looking cute behind their office desks and not doing a darn thing. Black people used to care about one another and believed in the "it takes a village" but it's clear times have changed. A Black woman running the office and we are still treated like the minority. UPDATE: I found out, months later, that a person wanted for murder was hiding from the police in our stairwell. This is the reason SWAT was here. The Jennifer/Jessica gal is gone. Maintenance is overworked and short-staffed so requests take forever. The walls/ceilings/floors are paper thin and my elderly downstairs neighbors play their tv loud at 9:30 every night until 5am, kids run around making noise all times of day and night.
