Anchor Property Management is one of the worst property management companies in the area. If you are looking into them, please go anywhere else. We hired them to take over our condo management and immediately they pushed out 2 assessments. They hired a subcontractors who completely overcharged us and ended up subbing the work out to a different subcontractor (without our knowledge) for a fraction of the cost. I think leaving ZERO stars should be an appropriate option for rating Anchor Property Management. At the Condominium Association they manage, everything went from borderline bad to terrible. As costs skyrocket the services plummet. I am not saying that the previous property managers were great, but relative to the communications and services, Anchor Property Management is decidedly horrible. No response is the usual response when contacted for any repair work. When they do respond, it is to give a flimsy excuse as to why the work cannot be completed now. They work hard to keep the owners from communicating with each other. Meeting minutes and board member contact information are lost. Absolutely no transparency of financial documentation.
** ***** ****** **** *** **** **** ***** *** *** *******, because Anchor Property Management should rightly get an F. They pad their General Maintenance bills with unspecified tens of thousands of dollars per year, almost $60,000 worth. They overpay for just about everything- they pull bids out of thin air and they seem to hire the most expensive contractors they can find. They charge $60 per hour for unskilled handyman’s work and they offer no financial transparency. Run away from using this “business” as fast as you can.
We have so many problems with Anchor that I do not even know where to start. Anchor suggests hugely expensive projects, but they ignore the smaller problems which make condominium life unpleasant. I wonder why?
