Delicious seafood. The menu is limited but serves exquisitely prepared dishes. In addition to a small standard menu, they offer fresh catch evening specials.
I am still dreaming about the scallops along with those HUGE shrimp 🍤. Amazing explosions of taste.
I have been coming to the Anchor since they opened in 1977. It continues to serve consistently great oysters, crab, shrimp in a no frills way. The clam chowder is the best! Usually when a restaurant becomes successful, they move or expand and the service and food suffer. The Anchor did not do this and has not suffered the penalties of success. Here’s to many more years in the same location!!

Homey bustling atmosphere. Very small place with amazing, fresh seafood dishes. Small menu but consistent quality, friendly service and large portions. No reservations so get there early to get your name on the list.
Extremely friendly staff, prompt service, excellent food, I’ve been a customer for 10 years and no disappointments, some new bees to the city find inconvenient the fact that it’s a small location and sometimes you have to wait, but this is not heartland, it’s better, and the wait is worth it!
