I’ve been going to anchor bay vet for years now. Since they’ve switched veterinarians I’ve had bad experiences. The veterinarian is rude and insensitive. My last experience they needed a fecal sample and had to shave around the butt area on my golden doodle. He had poop stuck on his skin and instead of asking me how to proceed they used the razor to get the badly stuck poop off. My dog appeared to be uncomfortable and when I looked he was bleeding badly. They told me it was just razor burn but after I left I investigated mor... read more

Where do I start? Our puppy was vomiting and couldn’t eat. It turned out she ate something that she couldn’t pass (piece of a toy). She ended up spending three days in Anchor Bay Vet. Needless to say, the kids and I were a wreck. Winnie ended up needing surgery for the object stuck in her intestines. I can’t tell you how wonderful the whole staff was during this difficult time. Truly understanding that Winnie is family. Answering all our questions and concerns. Working around the clock to ensure Winnie was home for Christmas... read more

Business response:

They are our babies just like when having a baby that you have to be so careful with as they tend to put things in r mouth. Just so glad for the happy ending and being able to have your baby back home.

This is my baby Helios and sadly he got a respiratory infection. If it wasn't for Beth I know we wouldnt have gotten through this process as well as we have! She has been amazing with advice and the best care I've ever seen! I'm so thankful for the staff and doctors here for helping us get through this hard time.

Business response:

Aw, thank you so much Karlie. If it is ok would love to post that cute face as one of our pet of the week post. :-D What an great picture.

This is my dog, Stella. She was treated for bladder stones this past Summer. Dr. Zaffer did the surgery and was so kind and careful with her. The entire staff is amazing. I’m always confident my pets receive the best care possible at Anchor Bay Veterinary Center.

Business response:

How adorable. Thank you for the post.

I wanted to say Thank you to Dr. Zaffer and his staff. Saturday two of my kitties got into some foam insulation when my husband was working on the house. My long hair tortie was the worst. I called my vet and they could not see them and told me to contact a groomer. I couldn't get anyone to help me. I called Anchor Bay Veterinary Center and they told me to bring them right in. I got there and they took them right back and started working on them. While the girls in the back were cleaning them up. Staff up front called ASPC P... read more

Our poor kitty got into a bad brawl last night he is home resting now after having surgery on his back paw to repair torn muscles and ligaments that were completely severed No more outdoors for Mr. Main We are fortunate it wasn’t worse, stitches inside and out but he’s one tough kitty, still purring and being sweeter than ever Thank you Dad for driving us to the vet I have pics but their too gnarly to post Also, many thanks to Anchor Bay Veterinary Center for getting him in so quickly

Business response:

Thank you, So happy to hear Mr. Main is doing better. Oh my, I know about gnarly pictures. Would love to see some happy recovery pictures of Mr. Main. Good idea to keep him in and keep him safe. So glad we could help.
