Located on Cambridge Street, Amy's Place is a charming restaurant-cafe. Although its decor is nothing to write back home but the vibe here is full of feel-good nostalgia. On offer are classic American specialties, that are usually considered comfort food. Apart from usual selection of Angus burgers, Ceasar salads and Reuben sandwiches, they have a great range of roasts and grills. Amy's is also quite popular for its brunch and breakfast offerings. Cozy, homey and delightful, this place is not to be missed.

I've been to Amy's maybe 10 times and as a person who thinks about food all the time it's the perfect brunch place. Food is good, not super expensive and it has a home-Like feel. I love my server, she's very friendly and has a sense of humor. 5 out of 5
Fried green tomatoes were the bomb , meat loaf was great and mashed potatoes were REAL !! Service was excellent. We'll be back to see the folks there.
I had the Salmon Ceasar Salad. The salmon was grilled perfectly. The music for the evening was a solo performer Mike Gill. Good voice; good music. And the music wasn't too loud. Overall a very nice evening down by the river.
I've eaten at Amy's many times but today for lunch was unacceptable. Coffee was cold, waitress go my order wrong and no offer was made to correct it. The waitress never came back to check on us and was not friendly in the least. Very disappointing.

Who was your server
We had dinner there Saturday night. I ordered the crab cakes per the waitress recommendation. They were awful. The price was just under $21 and I couldn't eat them. The waitress did remove them from our bill. She felt bad and insisted on bringing me something else which we settled on chicken. The chicken came to the table 1/2 cooked, raw in the middle. Also thankfully,no charge. My wife's burger ordered with a little pink was served to us more in a hockey puck form and tasteless. Many of the items we tried to order were unav... read more

Thank you Gary!
We try to visit there every Sunday. I say "visit" as the staff ALWAYS make us feel like we are family coming in for a home cooked meal. The food is always amazing and the atmosphere is truly Fredericksburg! Hands down best Betty Bloody Marys complete with bacon! Love you guys!
Business response:
Thank you so much!
We love Amy's! We usually go there at least once a week. The food is great, and the staff are all warm and welcoming people. Occasionally, like this evening, there is live music. Although we love music, and the musicians that perform at Amy's are very good, we find the volume to be too high at times to have a conversation, as was the case this evening. So, we made a hasty exit after finishing our meals. Maybe it'd be possible to have less amplification, that way patrons can enjoy the music, but also be able to converse comfo... read more

Hey David, thank you for the info. It is supposed to be quiet in the beginning background music and then after the dinner hour it's to go up around 9 o'clock. As you know we do it outside as soon as the weather gets nice so patrons can enjoy the quietness inside and I do apologize . I don't enjoy it when it's so loud you can't hear each other talk. My calf is not meant for that . This will be taken care of you can guarantee it. Hope to see you soon!
Once again amazing food and amazing service . Thanks again Betty and Amy ... Awesome
