Located on Cambridge Street, Amy's Place is a charming restaurant-cafe. Although its decor is nothing to write back home but the vibe here is full of feel-good nostalgia. On offer are classic American specialties, that are usually considered comfort food. Apart from usual selection of Angus burgers, Ceasar salads and Reuben sandwiches, they have a great range of roasts and grills. Amy's is also quite popular for its brunch and breakfast offerings. Cozy, homey and delightful, this place is not to be missed.

My husband and I had dinner and the food all the way to the dessert was very good. The homemade chips and Ruben were the best. I had the meatloaf and it was like Mom makes. The homemade chips should be bagged up and sold in the local area. Our waitress Barbara was excellent, very friendly and checked on us several times. We will be back.
My girlfriend and I make sure we go to Amy's every time we come to Fredricksburg. Great food and great service.

Thank you and happy 2017!
Had lunch at Amy's yesterday. Seafood vegetable soup was just OK and the BLT was tasty. Wish I'd tried something a little more exciting like the grilled cheese special. The best part was the atmosphere. The guy playing his guitar and singing was absolutely wonderful!
The seafood soup was good the blt wasn't too bad but the best part was the music , the guy playing the guitar and singing was amazing!!!
Great hometown feel and the people are so friendly. Like my very own Cheers <3

I have been visiting Amy's every time I visit VA! My kids moved there a few years ago and I've been hooked ever since! Can't wait to retire in the area and make Amy's my "go to place"!! Great food. Great friendly service!

Thank you so much Judi!
Used to enjoy eating here but this lunch was pretty awful! Took half an hour to get food and it wasn't even busy. Clam chowder served to my husband was cold, when I finally got my Reuben it came with burned black sweet potatoes fries. I couldn't believe they even served them to me, I asked for a serving that wasn't burnt and they said ok and eventually brought some I could eat. We complained and they offered to comp is for our ice tea, the manager didn't even bother to come out and apologize and we could see them in the kitc... read more

Vicki I am sorry your experience was not up to my standards yesterday. I have spoken with Betty, my front of the house manager, at the time there was an issue that she was dealing with in the kitchen. Unfortunately, she was unable to see you before you left. The 4 dollar discount of the teas is a dollar more than we charge for a side of sweet potato fries therefore, I believe her instruction to your server was appropriate only knowing the fries were overcooked and we had gotten you another order of fries. As you know, some d... read more

Outstanding food and service. I had the Rachel, which was the best one I've ever had. My wife had the grilled chicken ranch wrap which was incredible. The fries are also great. You really can't go wrong at Amy's!
