Really horrible experience ignored everything I said. Cut me off and explained things to me that were common sense that didn’t need discussed. Told me that I probably always had the problem I was there about and just didn’t notice?? Didn’t listen to any of my concerns. Told me that they never check hormone levels, and everything I was experiencing was from the effects of covid. I’ve never even had covid. Then told me that I had “chlamydia but it was totally treatable, it only would affect my relationship.” After the tests were ran I received a call saying I didn’t have chlamydia after all, which I knew the whole time. These stars go to Amy Schweers, an amazing NP who is kind, understanding and supportive. Gyno can be a sensitive situation as well as other aspects of health but I found her to be amazingly empathetic. I would highly recommend her! (Also for other people reading reviews about Amy or UC Health, be informed about who you are seeing in the first place to avoid issues for yourself.)
I have always dreaded going to the gynecologist. Every time my yearly exam comes due I am a bundle of nerves. I met NP Schweers today and she approached me in a very empathetic, non-judgmental and super informative manner. Her comfort level with the information she provides speaks to her years of experience and keeping up to date with current research. I felt at ease and comfortable to ask questions.
I absolutely hate going to any doctor and go out of my way to avoid obgyns. Amy is the only one who has communicated with me, talked to and listened to me. She is prompt with her responses and is proactive about care. I am very happy to have found her!!
