"Dr Barko did a toe joint replacement and everything was fine for one year and 3 months. My big toe was laying on my second toe and I was in some serious pain. Ended up in the ER in South Carolina while visiting family. Dr Barko assured me that the implant had not failed and sent me to physical therapy for 2.5 months. She then told me because it didn't work that we could do steroid injections for the pain. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Amy Barko. She is the most down to earth physician that I've ever encountered, and I worked with doctors for 30 years. She is so knowledgable and talented at what she does. She is very compassionate and has a happy and positive attitude everytime we see her. She has taken great care of my husband and I highly recommend her. We need more doctors like her.
Don’t get it confused Dr Barko is no longer in Lexington. She is now serving Kentucky on a larger scale. She is located in Winchester, Georgetown, Versailles, Paris and Richmond. She is practicing with the amazing Kentucky Orthopedic and Spine group!! They can service all of your orthopedic needs from head to toes!! 🤩
