I have been a client at Amherst Vets for many years. Dr. Hope, Dr. Gries, and Dr. Baum are the BEST!. I have always trusted Dr. Hope with my furkids, and she has been an angel. The staff is truly awesome. They have been there for and my kitties and bunnies in every need. The thing I miss most is not having them as vets since moving up north.
Been taking all my fur kids there for over 30 years. Great vets and wonderful staff. These folks care!
Such a wonderful place. Dr Hope and the staff were so caring when we had to put my Petie down today. They gave me plenty of time before and after. He is in a better place now and Dr Hope gave me all the information I needed to make that heartbreaking decision. Thank you again for everything �

I absolutely and thoroughly enjoy having the folks at Amherst Veterinary Hospital taking care of my fur balls. They maintain a high level of trust, compassion and they look out for these little guys as if they were their own.
I've been taking my animals here for a number of years and have generally had a a good experience with this hospital. They have great and kind employees. However, this animal hospital uses a specific type of leash that, if your dog pulls while on a leash, will cause your dog to choke itself. Just be aware that if your dog pulls that there is a chance that it could hurt its neck and throat with the leashes that this animal hospital uses.
