Honest mechanic which is hard to find.
My truck had been sitting for over 8 years due to mechanical issues that couldn’t be diagnosed by others. After we had it towed to Amherst Automotive, Kevin had it running in less than a day at an price that was far lower than we were expecting. After getting the truck running, my husband asked if Kevin was up for making some modifications, and he delivered on that as well. Not only can he maintenance and repair, he holds his own on customizing.
I have taken all of my vehicles here to be worked on. To put it quite bluntly Kevin Kane is the man. He's honest even if you don't want to hear it and he does the best work in town. They say that mechanics are shady but not him. He's definitely the last of a dying breed. Quick turnaround on all of my cars and excellent work. Never had any problems after the repairs. Known Trey for many years- courteous, trustworthy, professional, and knowledgable; doesn't recommend unneeded repairs!
I've taken my car here many times to have my oil changed and never had any issues. Ken and Trey were helpful and didn't make me feel pressured like some other places. Thanks a lot!!
I disagree entirely with the comment left before mine. I had my car taken care of here and not only was it taken and fixed in a day, but I too (as a female) had no idea either what was wrong with my car and it came back in perfect working condition to me. Most importantly with a cheaper bill than what I could've gotten with my dad's long-time mechanic friend could've fixed it for. I totally disagree with the comment posted as well. I took my car into Amherst automotive to have it serviced and ken and trey were honest and straight forward with pricing, I as well shopped around and found Amherst automotive to be the cheapest and most importantly they were honest about everything. I highly recommend ken and Trey for all my automotive needs...
